Features

A bondage rope is not just a plain ordinary line. A good quality bondage rope will have extra features included in it that assist in the bondage process. The two most important of these features are centermarks and endings.

Centermark

Many bondage methods do not begin with one end of the rope and work toward the other. Instead, they begin at the center of the rope and work toward both ends simultaneously. Therefore a good bondage rope should have the center of the rope marked in some kind of distinctive manner.

Various methods exist to mark the center of a bondage rope. But most of these have shortcomings. Sewing in a piece of thread will eventually come undone. Using a marker or colored pen doesn't show up well. Wrapping in tape is useless once the glue has worn off.

Kinkyropes famous 'mathew walker' centermarks are supiror to any of these methods. It is impossible to wear off or come undone. It can be found easily even in candlelight or a dimly lit playspace. And yet subtle enough that it wont get in the way of your rigging. Found exclusively at KinkyRopes, no other centermarking method even comes close.

Fans of suspension bondage should take note. Because of the special conditioning process used by KinkyRopes, the centermark is actually the strongest part of the rope.

.....it's bloody handy. One of the best things rope wise I've come across..... MasterRopeKnot

.....makes it very easy to quickly locate the midpoint of the rope by touch or by sight. This is a useful feature in many of the ties I like to use. Philip the Foole

Endings

Finishing the ends of a bondage rope archives a lot more than just keeping the strands from unraveling. Kinkyropes offers a wide selection of endings for a variety of methods and applications.

footrope.jpg Footrope
Known to some as a thistle knot. This is a small compact button in the shape of a braid encircling around the circumference of the rope. When tucked under a coil or passed through a narrow gap, it resists sliding back out.
backsplice.jpg Backsplice
This ending is shaped in a long slim tube. It passes easily both froward and backward under coils and through narrow gaps. The tip of the rope is blunt and flush as the strands are worked back away from the tip.
maideneye.jpg Maiden eye
More secure than a regular eyesplice. The small loop at the end is useful in several hojojitsu and resistance-play techniques.
triplewall.jpg Triple wall
A mid-range sized ending. Small enough to be tucked easily under coils and through narrow gaps with ease. Yet large enough to offer mild resistance to being pulled back out.
no_picture.gif English whiping
Also known as a common whipping. This is a neutral ending with no special abilities or functions. Good if you wish to use your own skill instead of relying on the rope.
sailmakers.jpg Sailmakers whipping
Another neutral ending with no special abilities or functions. It is slightly more secure than the English whipping above.
